Composition characteristics
Carbon (C) ≤ 0.03%
significantly reducing the risk of carbide precipitation during welding and inhibiting intergranular corrosion.
Chromium (Cr) 17.50%–19.50%, nickel (Ni) 9%–13%
forming a stable austenitic structure to ensure corrosion resistance.
No molybdenum (Mo) added, distinguishing it from 316L welding wire, suitable for non-high chloride ion environments.
Alloy Details

Solid welding wire, suitable for TIG/MIG welding, diameter range 0.8-5.0 mm, supplied in coils or straight bars.
Core Advantages:
- No annealing required after welding, reducing production costs.
- High compatibility with 304L base material, avoiding performance degradation caused by differences in carbon content.
Selection Notes:
- Specifically designed for welding 304L stainless steel, it can also be used for transition layer welding of dissimilar steels (such as 304 and carbon steel).
- In chloride-ion environments (e.g., seawater), use 316L welding wire (containing Mo).
- For high-temperature applications (>450°C), use stabilized welding wire (e.g., ER347).

Storage and Usage Precautions |
|
|
Storage Conditions: |
Keep sealed and dry, at a temperature below 40°C, and avoid contact with carbon steel. |
|
Pre-welding Preparation |
Clean oil stains and oxide layers from the weld seam and polish with a stainless steel brush. |
|
Gas Protection |
Pure Ar (99.99%) is recommended for TIG welding, while Ar+CO₂ mixed gas is used for MIG welding. |
Application
- Industrial equipment: chemical storage tanks, heat exchangers, food processing pipelines, relying on their resistance to intergranular corrosion.
- Construction and decoration: stainless steel curtain walls, railing welding, resistant to atmospheric corrosion and requiring no post-treatment.
- Medical and equipment: surgical instruments, medical equipment welding, meeting sterile environment requirements.
